I have always found tra­ve­ling inde­pen­dently, with no attach­ments and no res­pon­si­bi­li­ties (other than fin­ding a place to sleep for the night and perhaps where to find good cof­fee), the cure for rest­less­ness. But it’s tough being a pro­fes­sio­nal pho­to­grapher and lea­ving behind ideas of tra­ve­ling and docu­men­ting my des­ti­na­tions. But with plenty of luck bac­king me I was able to spend my time in Ice­land cap­tu­ring pla­ces that not only intri­gued, but also inspired.

My plans were often hapha­zard and I found good tra­vel infor­ma­tion along the way usually from other tra­ve­lers. But I also found worthy pla­ces by going in a direc­tion that felt right.
